Thifhumuli's journey in community service and construction began with his role as a sub-contractor under Edwin Construction. In this capacity, he supervised a team tasked with erecting gabions on the Makonde-Makuya Road,

show casing his expertise in construction and project management.As the Director of Tshirembe Rehabilitation and Construction, he supervised multiple Working for Wetlands teams under the Department of Environmental Affairs. Noteworthy projects include Baleni Wetlands in Giyani, Neilsoog Wetlands in Belabela, SAN Parks in Pretoria, and Mutale Wetlands in the Vhembe District Municipality.

His leadership extends beyond construction, as Thifhumuli took on the responsibility of overseeing Tshitavha Village as an acting Headman.
